God I love dagged sleeves. Almost as much as I love slashed ones. I just want to dag and slash everything I can get my hands on.
I’ve wanted Maleficent to be the first villain in the series for a while now, ever since I made the mental leap between Maleficent’s horns and 15th century horned hennins. The time period works out pretty well, actually, since I wanted her to look a little more dated than Aurora’s 1480’s getup- both houppelandes and horned hennins were all the rage during the early- to mid-1400’s, and they make for pretty good analogues to her official costuming. Sexy stuff.
This proves more than any of the previous pieces that these are adaptations, not improvements. I mean, look at the original Maleficent design- how does one improve on PERFECTION

A drawing of a subject of your choice to go on the first page! You might want to check my art out if you’re unfamiliar with me to see what types of things I usually do
And that’s that. I don’t use any of those watercolor tubes anymore, as I’ve replaced them each with higher quality tubes, so I thought: why not give them away? And I like the fountain pen I’ve been using so much that I think I’d like someone else to try it, too. I’ve also replaced the three brushes I’ve included here, so I don’t need those, either. And a drawing for good measure.
Here are the rules! Please follow these:
No giveaway blogs. I want more people to actually see this and have a chance at getting something; a lot of artists don’t have a lot of money…
Reblogs enter you, and a Like helps. You can’t just like - but you can do both to double your chances of just reblogging (if it falls on someone who liked it, I’ll check to see if they reblogged it)
I’ll be checking the blog that wins to see if you’re an active blog.
You gotta use these after they arrive! I obviously can’t enforce this, but I want to see people not being timid! Make art! That’s what these are for. I know a thing that stops a lot of people is being scared they’ll mess up and waste expensive supplies… but if this is a gift, that shouldn’t matter!
This ends on May 24th. If I send an ask and you don’t respond within 2 days, I’ll ask the next person, and so on.
I’d like to call this the Broken Hopes, Broken Dreamsgiveaway. I realized I had one more to do after the art one earlier…
I have these two Charizard I got in Japan - a Pokedoll that came out a day before we had to leave, and a Pokemon Time Charizard charm. It’s really cute, but I don’t like Charizard a whole lot. I bought these two Charizard items for a special friend, even though at that time I was really upset at that person. Then we parted ways because it never got better, and I’d rather not keep around things that upset me.
So… the rules are simple.
One reblog enters, but a like helps.
No giveaway blogs!
Giveaway ends May 24th.
I’ll pay for shipping anywhere.
You don’t have to be following me, but if you like Pokemon art, I do a lot of that!
Thank you for taking a look! I hope these will end up in a place with someone who appreciates Charizard as much as I don’t.

this is what heterophobia would look like if it was real. if you believe that heterophobia is a real thing that exists, please watch this because you will see that it simply doesn’t exist, that it never has and never will.
tbh I think everyone should watch this anyway because it’s very clever and very powerful
But if you can get past it, it’s really worth a watch.
This seriously crushed me.
If you’re straight, you need to watch this. Period. If you’ve ever wondered what it’s like to have the message that WHO YOU ARE is WRONG and condemned by society, then you need to watch this.
I couldn’t watch the ending. I knew how it ended, and I couldn’t bring myself to watch it.
Usually I take issue with the way some forms of media try to flip inequality on it’s head (drow society, Save the Pearls, etc) but it’s usually comes down to the fact that they just end up elevating the already privileged group to a moral high ground by making them “oppressed”. I applaud this video for not making the protagonist the brave straight warrior standing strong against they tyranny of the gays in charge. No, she’s just a kid. Just a victim, like those of us who are LGBTQ are in the real world today. This video does such a good job of making you FEEL the pressure to be normal in this society and does a great job portraying the emotional turmoil trying to reconcile with being outside that norm can produce.
We’ve got it good in this day and age. Well, not good. We’ve got it better. But we still have a long way to go…. you wanna know what it feels like…? watch this video
